While electric underfloor heating kits are usually fairly compact and can easily fit beneath most floors, wet underfloor heating systems are a little more space-intensive. That makes them difficult to install or retrofit in spaces where vertical height is a concern, due to low ceilings perhaps.
Low profile underfloor heating counteracts that problem by prioritising vertical compactness to create an underfloor heating system that can be easily installed in almost any space. The Profix low profile kits that we sell are water based, so they benefit from all of the qualities that wet underfloor heating systems bring, without the bulk.
In projects where traditional underfloor heating systems are too bulky to install or retrofit, a low profile kit will usually do the job. That means that there are very few circumstances where space will be a limiting factor in being able to install underfloor heating.
While not quite as easy to install as electric underfloor heating pads might be, low profile kits are generally easier to install than traditional wet underfloor heating. That means you’ll probably pay less for installation than with alternatives, making low profile kits cost-effective.
With an A-rated low energy circulation pump, Profix low profile underfloor heating kits are extremely energy efficient. That’s good news for both your bank balance and the environment. The kits also include an automatic temperature control unit that helps you to manage the heat your system emits.
